In this workshop Pantelis will focus on the five Yoga Margas, otherwise known as the five Paths of Yoga.
We will try to discover the special and unique beauty of each and every one of them.
We'll shine a light on how CHAKRAS affect us in the emotional, physical and psychological levels and we will learn how to activate and unblock each chakra.
We will practice on the most fundamental and useful breathing techniques (Pranayama) and we will also learn more advanced breathing techniques too. A key element will be how to combine basic and advanced breathing techniques together.
Another key element in this workshop will be how to apply various breathing techniques in the physical activity of yoga. We will practice on the teaching methods of the traditional Sun Salutations, Surya namaskar A & B. We will practice on how to stretch our physical body to the limits through hip opening and through split series. We will learn how to strengthen and correctly execute handstands and inversions through Vinyasa. Through various methods we will slowly try to overcome our fear of inversions.
Another key element in this workshop will be how to perform basic cleansing exercises (Kriyas) that purify our physical body. We will practice on the fundamental principles of meditation and Nidra Yoga.
It is important for everyone to know that the use of Bandhas (locking and controlling the energy) and the use of the hand gestures known as Mudras is a necessity and various techniques will be addressed during the workshop.
